Class Description
This class is a specific sequence of postures practiced in a hot room.
The hot room helps warm up muscles for safer stretching and cleansing through sweating.

Each posture is taught slowly, step by step.
Beginners are welcome!
Drink a lot of water before and after class.

Sign-up deadline is by 8:00pm the night before the class.

Example. If you want to take class on Saturday morning, please register by or before 8:00pm on Friday night.

How to prepare for class

The room is hot, so be prepared to sweat.

Drink a lot of water before and after class.

Bring your yoga mat and towel. If you don't have a yoga mat, you can use a studio mat.

The towel is laid over the mat to help absorb sweat so the mat is not slippery.

During class, focus on body alignment and breathing.

Saying that you are too inflexible to practice is like saying you are too dirty to take a shower.

Freedom, Yoga, and America

This article is titled "Yoga and America."
It is not about how Yoga came to be in America.
It is about the intersections of thinking in the system of American values and Yogic values.
When you come to Ageless Yoga you will see a plaque from the Declaration of Independence that says "We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."
America has stood as a symbol of Freedom.

The Yoga system is aims at freedom.. internal freedom.
Freedom from what?

Tyrannical political systems create bonds for the human being that a country like America aims to stand against.
Tyrants unnecessarily "lay heavy burdens upon men's shoulders."

Ignorance of Spirit and lies of the ego are the bonds that Yoga stands against.

Freedom is not lawlessness.
Healthy boundaries and laws serve to protect Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
