Kripalu yoga is similar to hatha yoga, but with a more compassionate and gentle approach. Kripalu yoga focuses on mental, physical, and emotional healing on and off the yoga mat. One of the key components of this style of yoga is learning how to get in touch with your body and come home to yourself. Through this style of yoga, one can expect to hold poses longer than a vinyasa class, do pranayama, or breath work exercises, and learn to accept wherever you are on your journey on and off your mat while letting go of any judgments against the self.
